Aligned with the vision mission of UPB, DOST SILBI-TBI aims to facilitate growth of startups in Northern Luzon, with a pioneering focus on crafts and creative products. With a network of schools in the region through their respective TBIs, DOST SILBI-TBI will provide a location for entrepreneurs to receive support and information that may create a practical path into turning ideas into commercially viable and distributable products.

Incubators usually provide clients access to appropriate rental space and flexible leases, shared basic business services and equipment, technology support services and assistance in obtaining the financing necessary for company growth along with mentors to guide the company. Aside from DOST SILBI-TBI providing assistance and access to information, it will also provide a workspace for multi-disciplinary teams. With the creation of linkages and networks, clients of DOST SILBI-TBI will enjoy a wide range of networking services and multiple channels of communication and Distribution.
Clients of DOST SILBI-TBI may also tap into the knowledge and expertise of the different departments of UP Baguio, as well as the helping hand on prototyping and design of the products. DOST SILBI-TBI will provide a mapping of the value chain as well as continuing development and growth. Lastly, DOST SIBLI TBI will complete the downstream-upstream connections in the value chain and will build the capability of the community in entrepreneurship. This will be UP Baguio’s principal contribution to the economy of Baguio City and the Cordillera.
