WHAT WE DO

Aligned with UP Baguio's commitment, DOST-UPB SILBI TBI aims to facilitate the growth of startups in the Cordillera region, particularly in the creative industries and science innovation sectors. Through a network of schools in the region, each with their respective TBIs, SILBI TBI will serve as a hub where early-stage ventures can receive support to transform ideas into commercially viable and marketable products.

Incubators typically offer clients access to suitable rental spaces with flexible leases, shared business services and equipment, technology support, and assistance in securing financing for growth, along with mentorship to guide their development. Beyond providing support and access to vital information, SILBI TBI will also offer a collaborative workspace for multidisciplinary teams. Through the establishment of linkages and networks, clients will benefit from extensive networking opportunities and diverse communication and distribution channels.

Clients of SILBI TBI can leverage the knowledge and expertise of various departments at UP Baguio, along with support for product prototyping and design. The TBI will also offer value chain mapping and foster continuous development and growth. Additionally, it will establish robust downstream and upstream connections within the value chain while enhancing the community's entrepreneurial capabilities. This initiative will serve as UP Baguio's key contribution to the economic development of Baguio City and the Cordillera region.
